about.
The Cal Poly Frost report is an annual report produced and printed for Bill and Linda Frost, alumni of Cal Poly who donated $118 Million to the College of Science and Math. The report includes how their money is being used throughout the program, including photos and stats of student/faculty research groups.
My job was to capture these students and faculty members as they do their research to showcase the positive impact that the Frosts have on Cal Poly science and math education.
challenge.
PHOTOSHOOTS ON PHOTOSHOOTS
The images included in the Frost Report of students doing work are in no way staged. The process of capturing these involved lost of planning with research groups to determine appropriate sessions for me to be a fly on the wall for. This resulted in lots of candid photos of natural professor/student relationships and Frost dollars being put to good use!
EDIT AND EXPORT TO THE FROST REPORT, AND BEYOND!
All of these images were sent to the team unedited where they then edited the ones they think fit the publication best. These images were then given to the university to be used on other University branding and marketing efforts like other publications, the College of Science and Math website, other articles and more.
result.
The efforts put into capturing these Frost Research photos resulted in a wealth of in-situ, candid photos of real students and real faculty dong real work. These photos have since been circulated around the University for other uses, and I was asked back many times to photograph luncheons, high-profile tours, and even a magazine cover!
